The British riders Henrietta Colborne and Dani Christmas will be part of the 2018 Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias Women’s Team roster, which is already composed by ten cyclists.

Henrietta Colborne (1998), who will face her second season as an U23 rider, was during this season one of the outstanding young riders in the international field. Aged 19, she reached the top-20 in the Trofee Maarten Wynants (BEL, 1.1 UCI) as well as in the Erondegemse Pijl (BEL, 1.2 UCI). She also achieved the sixth place in a stage of the hard, selective Tour de l’Ardèche (FRA, 2.2 UCI).

On the other hand, Dani Christmas (1987), a rider with a great experience in the most prestigious races, got a second place at the Tour de l’Ardèche QOM classificaton, as well as a top-15 spot in the first stage of the renowned Festival Elsy Jacobs (LUX, 2.1 UCI).

Quotes from the Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias sports director, Agurtzane Elorriaga: “Henrietta is a young, very talented rider, who in spite of her youth has a lot of experience, as she’s been racing for a Dutch team in the last two seasons. Although that was not an UCI team, it allowed her to compete in several races in Belgium and in the Netherlands. She’s a very skilled rider who is usually in the breakaway and this year she has even gotten a victory in Belgium [the Ladies Cycling Trophy Oost-Vlaanderen, racing with many UCI teams’ cyclists]. Regarding Dani, she’s a rider with great results last season, fighting for top spots. She’s a good climber who fought util the last day for the KOM jersey at Tour de l’Ardèche, so I believe she will provide the team with experience, especially when racing in Belgium and in the Netherlands, when she will teach the youngest riders.
