2017-12-22

The Italian Alice Maria Arzuffi is the twelfth confirmed rider in the 2018 Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias UCI Women’s Team roster.

Born in Giussano in 1994, Alice Maria Arzuffi, coming from team Lensworld-Kuota, has achieved great results in top level races, such as the 7th place she got in last year’s Boels Rental Hills Classic, or the 3rd place at the Giro Rosa young classification. Also in 2016, she almost got a top-10 spot at the European Championship held in Plumelec. Her list of results also includes good performs in spring classics, such as two eight places at Rabobank-7 Dormenloop and Acht van Westerveld, or the 13th place she reached at GP de Dottignies. In addition, she is a world class cyclo-cross rider, competing for team Steylaerts-Betfirst and achieving impressive results like the bronze medal she got a month ago at the European Championship. Her last victory in a UCI race was two weeks ago, at Ciclocross del Ponte.

Statements: “I am really happy that I have signed for Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias. It’s the first time for me in a Basque team and I am looking forward to starting this new adventure. The first approach that I had talking with Agurtzane was really good, so I am looking forward to working with them. I’m a pretty good climber and I like stage races, and that’s why I would like to be in a good shape for Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria and Emakumeen Bira — I know that is a main goal for the team, too. And I would really like to race Giro Rosa, which is my favorite race of the year.”
