2017-12-26

The Italian rider Anna Stricker will be the last addition to the Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias 2018 roster, which will be composed by a total of 13 riders.

Stricker, born in Zams (Austria) in 1994, raced for BTC City Ljubljana in 2017. She almost got the win at the Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour stage 2 (in which she ended up in second place) and at the Tour of Chongming Island stage 2 (she was third). She was the winner of the QOM prize in Festival Elsy Jacobs and she also won a stage at the 2016 Giro della Toscana. In her list of results we can also find top spots in races such as 2015 Giro del Trentino (2nd), 2016 Giro della Toscana (3rd) and 2014 GP Comune di Cornaredo (4th).

My situtation after what happened with Lensworld was not easy at all for me and I was really worried that I had to stop cycling. But Bizkaia Durango-Euskadi Murias was the team which still believed in me and gave me the chance to continue chasing my dreams. I am really happy about my new team and I can’t wait to start the new season together with them in order to reach good results. For 2018 I would like to have a good start of the season at the Setmana Valenciana, following with the spring classics in Belgium and Holland, because I love this kind of races. For sure, a big goal for me and the team will be Emakumeen Bira, and I would also like to race Giro Rosa, because it’s in my country and the atmosphere is always amazing there.”
