The British rider Lizzie Holden (Douglas, Isle of Man, 1997) is the tenth confirmed rider in the 2020 Bizkaia-Durango roster.

Holden, who has competed for the Drops UCI Team during the last three seasons, has achieved some remarkable results such as the bronze medal at the 2019 British elite National Championship, the sixth place at the Giro della Toscana GC — where she won the young riders’ classification —   or several top-10 spots in races like Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour.

“I’m really happy with this opportunity. This year I had some strong performances and I’m really looking forward to stepping up in my career in 2020. Signing with a team with such an extense history is really great news and I believe we will have a nice season. I will have another British teammate, Lauren Dolan, and of course I think we can learn a lot from each other. I’m also looking forward to racing in the Basque Country — I’ve been told cycling is a way of life there!” says Lizzie Holden.

Alice Maria Arzuffi, Yurani Blanco, Lauren Dolan, Ariana Gilabert, Lucía González, Aroa Gorostiza, Amaia Lartitegi, Irene Loizate and Irati Puigdefábregas are the other nine confirmed riders in the 2020 Bizkaia-Durango squad.
