2019-11-13

The British rider Amy Monkhouse (2001) will join the Bizkaia-Durango UCI Women’s Continental Team in the 2020 season.

After racing for the Storey Racing Team during the last two seasons, Monkhouse will compete for Bizkaia-Durango in her first U23 year, where she will have two British teammates: Lauren Dolan and Lizzie Holden.

Amy made it to the British Cycling Team for the 2018 Junior World Championship and has achieved some remarkable results at UCI Nations’ Cup races such as Trofeo da Moreno-Trofeo Binda or Gent-Wevelgem.

“I am really excited to race for Bizkaia-Durango in 2020. I’m looking forward to working with the team and a new group of girls, where I can learn a new range of skills on and off the bike. I’m very thankful to have been given the opportunity to join such a long lasting and prestigious team which have been winning top level races since they were founded so many years ago. Racing at this level will be great for my development as a rider into the U23 category,” says Monkhouse.
