2015-12-15

Bizkaia-Durango keeps reinforcing their roster for the 2016 season, and after the already announced renewals of Lourdes Oyarbide, Lierni Lekuona, Paula Lanz, Mavi García, Coral Casado and Elisabet Escursell, and the signings of Irati Idirin, Naia Leonet and Kim Le Court, Roos Hoogeboom (Medemblik, The Netherlands, 1982) will be the tenth member of the Basque UCI Women’s Team.

Hoogeboom, who got into the top-10 several times in UCI races such as the Tour de Feminin-O cenu Českého Švýcarska, is a strong climber whose best results have come in races of the Dutch national calendar, getting the victory in the Ronde van Heemskerk and reaching the podium in other races with a high participation level such as the Ronde van Heusdenhout or the Wielerronde van Standdaarbuiten.

I am very happy to be part of the team in 2016. I’m really looking forward to contributing to the team and, at the same time, developing myself as a rider, to move a step forward in my career. As a Dutch rider, being in a UCI team and racing in foreign countries has always been my dream,” claimed Hoogeboom after signing with Bizkaia-Durango.

Throughout the next weeks, the 2016 Bizkaia-Durango full roster will be unveiled, as well as details on sponsors and suppliers in regards to the new, exciting road season.
